Toorak House 2 has a restrained late interwar character, combining Georgian Revival forms with subtle Art Deco influences. The home had been subjected to conflicting alterations and additions during the 1970s. Architecturally, the broader vision for the project was to carefully restore the original period character while reimagining the later additions through clear, non-competing contemporary insertions.

The interior approach throughout the home focused on clean lines, restrained detailing, a considered play of light and shade, and a refined material palette that creates a cohesive contemporary language across the various spaces.
